With increasing rates of burnout, heart disease, and more... all we know is that moving is good not just for the body, but also for the mind and soul. That's why we launched a global movement! 

We want to help improve the physical and mental health of millions by encouraging 30 minutes of movement-mind, body, spirit every day and change lives.

Georgina's connection with 30 minutes of movement. 

Georgina's life is better because of movement. Movement helped her through depression, endometriosis, divorce, and was the catalyst for setting dreams and goals for herself that seemed unimaginable as a child.

Her life was greatly changed by starting to walk 30 min a day over 10 years ago, and making it a regular habit. Those 30 minutes of walking, led to her being able to run her first mile with out stopping, which led to want to hike and start going for longer hikes, which led to her setting a pretty massive goal of scaling the highest peak on each continent, a challenge which she's now almost done with! So many people ask Georgina why and how she started climbing. It all started with 30 minutes of walking to build the courage and confidence to dream of doing anything bigger. She was never athletic growing up and voted most improved in every sport she played. She gave track and cross-country a try in high school and had to drop out of both sports for not being able to keep up. As a teenager she turned to the gym as she struggled with depression, weight gain and body image (grew up in a household where mental illness was prevalent). In college, she was diagnosed with endometriosis and was in and out of urgent care and underwent two surgeries by the time she was 23. 

Georgina is able to manage and overcome both depression and endometriosis today because of movement. Granted her ways of moving have far exceeded those early day 30 min walks, and first visits to the gym, but movement is now a critical part of her life, it's become her ritual. Movement for her now also expands past movement of just body, to that of mind and spirit. She regularly practices yoga, meditation, and is now a Reiki Practitioner. She also LOVES to dance and thinks that's an amazing and fun way to move your body and soul whenever you can. 

As her work with her community at She Ventures has grown, she sees so many people who's lives are transformed by movement and active living. 

While so much out there in the media can be intimidating when it comes to health and wellness or there is more focus on body image versus life benefit, she wishes to inspire movement with a simple 30 minutes of a new embedded daily habit. She's never been one to train for looks, her motivation has been mental and physical strength and endurance for her big mountain challenges and endurance challenges...not the six pack. Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with the six pack!!!

Moving our bodies and souls should be fun, pretty simple.She hope to share that goodness around the world.

Move 30 Collective is an initiative created and powered by She Ventures. 

She Ventures is a social enterprise with an event series and media platform that celebrates and ignites adventure as a way of life for women around the world. Our work elevates the presence of female leadership and entrepreneurship across adventure travel, health and wellness, and outdoor experiences, creating inspiration, community, and sparking adventure along the way. 


Movement and ritual. Movement has been a necessary ritual in my life for over a decade. What that looks like varies day to day. For many years my movement was to train for big mountains. When I started my companies and didn't have big climbs planned- my movement was often compromised as work won. That not only had negative effects on my body, but more importantly on my spirit. Turns out movement is the ultimate emotional boost! Having a bad day, feeling depressed, feeling anxious? Move your body even for 20 minutes...those aweful feelings start to melt away. Creativity is ignited, good endorphins flow, overall goodness happens! Move outside...even better! I have to admit I'm not a gym fan and rather play outside for exercise if given the choice. My body has changed shapes many times over. I always trained for strength-both mental and physical and not for looks. Endurance has always been the goal and continues to be. I feel best when I feel strong and whether or not I have some big mountain project planned, knowing in my gut I could tackle a climb or a 40 mile run/hike on a moments notice makes me happy. Being on the road now for almost 5 months requires me to ground myself daily and find ways to move. That varies based on where I am. Training is not only physical but mental and spiritual. I've finally adopted my own yoga practice as I can't always get to a studio and continue with my daily meditation and now Reiki practice. Each brings such a beautiful nourishment to my health and heart. I'm a better human, girl boss , friend, lover-everything when I have movement in my life.
